Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are several ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
Foodbank communication volunteer
Do you have a couple of days a week to spare? Are you outgoing and a good communicator? Does it matter to you that the foodbank is reaching those in need?
If this sounds like you, you might be interested in a new volunteer role at the foodbank. Based mostly in the office at Blatchford Road but with the facility to work at home and get out and about and to the foodbanks, we’re looking for someone to keep the profile of the foodbank high with referring agencies and the referrers, volunteers and donors up to date with information and developments.
Helping at a foodbank centre
We’re not looking for volunteers for the foodbank or the warehouse at the moment. Watch this space for our next call for volunteers!
Our local website needs constant attention. Could your digital skills help communicate our message to a local and global audience? You will need to know a little about websites and ideally have experience of using WordPress.
If you are interested in volunteering please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
